The kind of people who would benefit from a psychological approach would be:
• Those who have struggled with their body for a long time; or
• Those who have tried numerous diets "unsuccessfully"; or
• Those who engage in disordered eating patterns (and are unhappy with these) such as strict dieting, "emotional eating", binge-eating, secret eating or compulsive eating; or
• Those who have recently lost a substantial amount of weight and are experiencing distress (fears of gaining weight again or problems dealing with the change); or
• Bariatric surgery or liposuction patients
